Anan has strong commercial insights into his clients' needs, and how to design and implement a global patent monetisation strategy.
Anan is a partner in our Intellectual Property Group, based in Singapore.
He has particular experience in patent litigation; patent management and monetisation; as well as trademark litigation and other high value IP dispute resolution matters. He also has some experience in managing anti-counterfeiting matters.
Before joining us in early 2017, he was Associate Vice President at Creative Technology Ltd where he oversaw all of the company’s legal matters globally, with a focus on worldwide IP registration, litigation and enforcement, as well as all other types of contentious matters. He also acted as an adviser to senior management on key legal moves and decisions, including monetisation of Creative’s patent portfolio.
He has handled major patent litigations in Singapore and internationally, including a few in the US International Trade Commission and in Europe.
He is a regular public speaker and panelist on a number of IP issues including patent and trade mark litigation, brand management, dealing with counterfeits and the commercialisation of Intellectual Property.
Anan originally qualified as a barrister and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1991. He subsequently returned to Singapore and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1992. In 1999 he was admitted to the roll of solicitors of England & Wales.
