I advise leading international companies on all HR management issues, from hiring and disciplinary procedures through to compensation. This includes the implementation of stock options plans, as well as individual and collective dismissals and litigation and arbitration advice. I have developed a deep knowledge of whistleblowing rules and practices and I also manage internal investigations.In addition, I provide assistance on trade union negotiations and industrial relations in connection with matters including transfers of undertakings, collective redundancies and European works councils, as well as trade union and social insurance litigation and arbitration. I also work alongside our corporate department in M&A deals, advising clients on all employment related issues connected with such deals (including the due diligence investigation phase).I am a member of our International Trade Secrets Protection Group and of our Life Sciences & Healthcare Sector Group. I am member of the Italian Employment Lawyers Association and of the European Employment Lawyers Association. I regularly give lessons at the Specialisation School of the Italian Lawyer Employment Association and I am speaker at Employment Law conferences. I have also written several publications on employment law including the Italian section of 'Employment Law and The European Union' (Croner, 1999) and I am co-author of a commentary on the Employment Proceedings Code (Ipsoa, 2001).Prior to joining Bird & Bird I was head of the employment, pension and benefits team at a large international law firm for five years. I have also been a partner at a global firm where I established and was head of the Italian Labour Law Service Line.
