This article reports on the use of blocklisting and the inadvertent consequences exhibited by the 'COVID-19 effect'. With the findings of a recent Government review into the creation of a sustainable media still being considered in Whitehall, this may add impetus towards stronger Government regulation of the use of blocklisting and the online advertising market more generally.
