International law firm Bird & Bird has advised ThreatSpike on its successful $14 million Series A fundraise, led by Expedition Growth Capital.
ThreatSpike was founded by computer scientists Adam and Kate Blake in 2011. ThreatSpike simplifies cybersecurity protection for organisations and has grown rapidly through customer-driven demand. Today, ThreatSpike serves over 200 customers with deployments across 90 countries. The funding from Expedition Growth Capital will expedite ThreatSpike’s expansion as it brings enterprise-grade cybersecurity to mid-sized clients with its fixed price, all-in-one platform.
Expedition Growth Capital is a software specialist growth equity firm, with offices in London and Boston. Expedition partners with ambitious, rapidly growing software companies that have achieved significant traction with little or no external funding.
Jane Brassington, corporate partner at Bird & Bird, commented: “We are very pleased to have advised ThreatSpike on its first institutional fundraise. This transaction also reflects Bird & Bird’s strong track record in advising technology-driven businesses, particularly those leveraging AI to address commercial and societal issues.”
Adam Blake, CEO of ThreatSpike, commented: “We’re delighted to have completed our first fundraise and are grateful to the Bird & Bird team for their outstanding support and expertise throughout the process. With this milestone behind us, we’re excited to focus on our next phase of growth and delivering even greater value to our customers.”
