International law firm Bird & Bird advises Norddeutsche Landesbank on the framework of a portfolio acquisition of four French onshore windfarms sold by Volkswind GmbH to German EB Erneuerbare Energien Fonds Europa, a fund of EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM).
The portfolio comprises four French onshore windfarms initially developed and operated by Volkswind GmbH, a subsidiary of Swiss-based energy trader Axpo Group. Volkswind will continue to provide technical and commercial services to the windfarms.
The Bird & Bird Energy and Finance team in Paris advised on the framework of the portfolio acquisition and the change of control documentation. The work was led by Paris partner Sibylle Weiler and was assisted by Counsel Ann-Claire Beauté.
