Bird & Bird wins the most awards by a single firm ever in the history of the China Business Law Awards

Bird & Bird has won four individual Awards at the China Business Law Awards, the most by a single firm in the history of these awards. The awards are based on nominations and comments received from mostly China-focused corporate counsel, senior managers and legal professionals around the world. Bird & Bird was named as a winner in the categories of:

  • Aviation
  • Entertainment & sports
  • Intellectual property (patent and trade secret)
  • TMT

In determining the winners, the nominations were considered carefully in combination with other factors, such as each firm’s landmark deals, cases and other notable achievements over the past year. They also consulted widely with law firm clients and conducted a large number of surveys to ascertain the level of satisfaction with the services provided by each firm.

Justin Walkey, Chairman, Asia Pacific & Head of China commented "This is a terrific achievement and I offer our three China offices my wholehearted congratulations. The fact that we won four awards confirms our standing in this market and shows the high regard in which we are held by our clients. It was especially pleasing to see our sector strength coming through with three of the four awards giving recognition to our cross group strength in these particular areas."
