Bird & Bird advise Smedvig Capital as it invests £10m in marketing technology business Infinity

Bird & Bird's Corporate team in London recently advised Smedvig Capital on its £10 million financing of Infinity, one of the fastest growing marketing technology businesses in the UK and a market leader in call tracking.

Infinity enables clients to track calls from their website and analyse with precision which marketing activity resulted in which sales and optimises the chance of those sales closing. Infinity has already established itself as a pioneer in call tracking, supporting marketing, sales and operations across a strong client base in the UK and US. This investment will facilitate further product innovation and allow the business to continue to build on its drive for customer success.

The Bird & Bird team was led from London by corporate partners Ali Ramadan and Shing Lo, with assistance from specialists including Cathal Flynn (Barrister) in commercial and Frances Vickery (Associate) in employment. Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP was involved on the US tech and comms regulatory aspect of the transaction.

Jon Lerner, Managing Director at Smedvig Capital, commented: "It is a pleasure to work again with Ali and his venture capital team. They were extremely professional and provided a first class level of service. We look forward to working with them on future financings."

Bird & Bird partner Ali Ramadan commented: "This is our third venture financing work for Smedvig Capital. We are very proud to be working again for Smedvig Capital. This transaction showcases our VC and specialist capabilities in the tech and comms sector."
