Corporate PPAs: An international perspective - 2022 Edition

Bird & Bird is delighted to launch the 2022 edition of our International Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (Corporate PPAs) Report.

Large corporates are continuing to set the agenda for the growth of renewable energy across the globe. In 2021, more than 130 corporations in 32 different countries purchased 31.1GW of clean power directly from generators under a Corporate PPA, up nearly 24% from the previous year.

This year's report comments on some exciting new trends in the market, including the emergence of new structures, such as the 24/7 model by Google. The appetite for Corporate PPAs is continuing to grow throughout 2022 as corporations look to take advantage of a range of sustainability, economic and reputational benefits.
