The entry into force date of the Remote Gambling Bill (Wet Kansspelen op Afstand) (the “Bill”) has been postponed again. The announcement was set out in a letter of the Dutch (outgoing) Minister of Legal Protection in which he responded to adopted motions in respect of the legislation on (online) gambling. Shortly after, the Dutch Council of State (the “Council”) published its opinion on the secondary legislation. The finalised versions where published a day later. Further, the Dutch Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) (the “KSA”) published an updated communication calendar confirming a number of shifts in the timeline up to the opening of the Dutch market.
