Dispute Resolution Knowledge & Development Lawyer
UK

I am the knowledge and development lawyer in our London International Dispute Resolution team. I play a key role in keeping my colleagues updated so that they are at the forefront of legal developments, trends and case law in the litigation and international arbitration arenas for the benefit of our clients.

We are pleased to present Bird & Bird's Arbitration newsletter 'Arbcall'. We hope that you find its mixture of recent news and brief case law updates taken from the jurisdictions within which we practice useful and of interest.

This edition includes:

  • analysis of the new SIAC arbitration rules;
  • a summary of the ECJ ruling as to whether competition law was infringed by the ICC award in favour of the multinational pharmaceutical company, Sanofi;
  • CIETAC's new guidelines on third-party funding; and
  • our views on The Hague Court's refusal to enforce the Yukos Arbitration award.
We also cover case law in relation to the drafting of agreements to arbitrate, case law which affects how arbitration is conducted and also investor dispute (ICSID) arbitrations.

If you would like to know anything further regarding the items covered in Arbcall or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact any of the below.
