Patent infringement and guidelines for EPO examination

In times of globalization, open innovation and international R&D co-operation on one hand and increasing number of trade conflicts between USA, China and Europe on the other hand patents or other intellectual property rights become more and more important for companies to protect their innovations and their business and to strengthen their competitiveness worldwide.

In this webinar we will have a closer look at the enforcement of patents in general and major changes in the way the European Patent Office is examining patent applications and handling appeals against its decisions.

In the second part of the presentation the recent changes in the Guidelines for Examination of the EPO will be covered, including tips for conducting hearings by videoconference.
