We are responsibly managing our offices, minimising waste and recycling wherever practical. We regularly donate expired and unused medication to Dubai Health Authority pharmacies to ensure correct disposal and keep the environment unharmed. Our offices have also been participating in Earth Hour since 2020 to raise awareness of the issues facing our planet.
This year we embarked on a five week journey through the Zero to Climate Hero Challenge to work towards reducing our carbon footprint. Rivers place a significant part in supporting wildlife, combating climate change and supplying drinking water, and so our team took part in the World River Run for World Environment Day.
For us pro bono isn’t an add on. We are passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives, and giving back to the communities we work within.
We have provided pro bono advice to members of the community in the DIFC and the Dubai Design District.
We have participated in several CSR initiatives ranging from blood donations quarterly and for World Blood Donor Day, food and beverage distribution semi-annually at construction sites through the Feed-a-Labour campaign, Ramadan Iftar meals through Nefsy and the 100 Million Meals campaign, to supporting families with lost incomes during the pandemic in collaboration with the Stop and Help initiative for World Humanitarian Day.
Through our internal Clean Your Closet Campaign we collect and donate clothes to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority semi-annually. We create awareness amongst our team on numerous health issues such as for World Mental Health Day, women's health during Endometriosis Awareness Month, PINKtober for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and men’s physical and mental health through Movember. Furthermore, we joined the 21 Day Challenge for World Cancer Day committing to improve personal health.
