The platform has a number of features to support our legal advice, including:

• Tabular review: Allows structured document comparison within large datasets, helping lawyers to filter, sort, and highlight key information to quickly identify discrepancies or risk areas based on project-specific prompts.
• Assistant: Supports with drafting and review tasks through suggestions and insights, with lawyers maintaining full control over final advice.
• Word add-in: Enables Legora functionality within a Word environment, to enable direct drafting assistance and interrogation of legal documents.
• Research: Supports faster fact-finding through context-specific results from trusted legal sources to conduct searches more efficiently. The platform integrates content from legal knowledge platform FromCounsel, to ensure information is grounded in accurate, context-sensitive information.

We are in an ongoing process of testing Legora’s capabilities across different practice areas and use cases, and feeding back suggestions in order to continue improving the tool further. Our lawyers directly collaborate with Legora’s development team and legal engineers to align the platform with the challenges and priorities our lawyers and our clients are facing.

Our key philosophy with AI is that it empowers our lawyers; it doesn’t replace them. We’ve seen Legora provide efficiencies to free up our lawyers’ valuable time for more complex legal analysis and direct client communication, with final legal decisions still firmly in the hands of our legal experts. Transparency and validation remains absolutely critical for us when using any GenAI tools.
