The Infocomm Media Development Authority ("IMDA") oversees AI matters generally, with the support of the Personal Data Protection Commission ("PDPC"), which regulates AI matters to the extent that it involves the collection, use and disclosure of personal data.
Otherwise, a sector-specific approach is taken for other AI matters, such as the Monetary Association of Singapore ("MAS") for the use of AI by financial institutions, and the Health Sciences Authority ("HSA") for AI matters arising in the healthcare industry.
