Salla-Mari Jokela

I am an associate in our Dispute Resolution group in Helsinki, where I advise our clients especially on real estate and construction related matters.

I advise our clients on a broad range of real estate and construction related contractual matters. My areas of expertise include especially lease and construction contracts as well as insolvency proceedings and insolvency-related disputes. I also assist our clients in general court litigation and commercial arbitration.

I have worked in various trainee positions at Bird & Bird for several years before my graduation. During my studies I specialized in insolvency and procedural law and the law of obligations. I have also completed a minor in Industrial Engineering and Management in Aalto University.

In addition to being detail-oriented, I strive to understand the client's business as a whole while taking into account the realities of the surrounding business environment. I am a native speaker of Finnish and I also speak fluent English.
