Pippa van Hengel

As an associate in our Intellectual Property practice, I advise our clients on diverse IP-related matters.

I litigate in and advise on a wide range of intellectual property rights disputes, with a focus on patent law. I do so across various industries, including life sciences, communications and consumer goods.

My interests lie in Dutch patent infringement and invalidation actions, as well as related proceedings before the Unified Patent Court. I am also involved in various cross-border patent litigation matters.

In 2023 I joined Bird & Bird (initially as a student trainee), having been particularly attracted to the firm's strong sector focus and cross-border expertise. Working in Bird & Bird's global environment provides me an ideal platform to deliver truly international IP advice to our clients.

I am a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and Female Intellectual Property Experts (FIPE).
