Martin Folke

As a Corporate partner in our Stockholm office, I primarily assist start-ups and growth companies seeking Venture Capital financing as well as Venture Capital funds investing in and financing start-ups.

With more than twelve years' experience assisting a range of corporate clients, my work primarily consists of representing emerging start-ups and other growth companies in national and cross-border fundraisings and transactions, including equity investments, growth or venture debt, fund formation and corporate venturing. I also offer clients a broad spectrum of experience on corporate transactions and legal matters, ranging from private acquisitions and divestments of companies, businesses and assets to corporate governance matters, capital injections and other venture-related matters on the Swedish market.

Clients benefit from my solid and pragmatic approach. I ensure that our international venture capital clients receive the attention they deserve when doing business in Sweden. In line with our firm's unique ability to assist technology-driven clients, I specialise in working with companies at the forefront of digitalisation and disruptive technologies. By working with other dedicated teams across the Nordics and beyond to form a 'one-stop shop', clients benefit from my expertise on the legal issues that arise in these emerging high-growth companies.

Prior to joining our firm, I worked for Swedish and international firms in Stockholm.

Having lived in both Sweden and the USA, I am fluent in Swedish and English.

• Advised IM WITH BRUCE AB on its acquisition of Combine AS, the Norwegian online service for booking studio classes.
• Advised IDEX Corporation on the acquisition of Velcora Holding, and its Roplan and Steridose businesses from FSN Capital Partners.
• Advised Leeroy Group on the Swedish VC investor, D-Ax Sweden's, investment in the company.
• Advised Oriola Corporation on its investment in Doktor.se Nordic AB.
