Joaquín Velázquez de Castro

I am an junior associate in Bird & Bird's International HR Services department in the Madrid office.

After completing a master's degree in labour law internship in a Spanish law firm in 2022, I started my professional career in an law firm specialised in labour law, where I had the opportunity to do an internship and have my first contact with the world of business law.

Once I finished my internship, I joined the team, working directly with senior associates and partners of the firm. During that year, I had the opportunity to develop professionally, acquiring a series of fundamental skills, not only in the world of law, but also in human relations. During that time, I performed consulting functions, preparation of procedural documents, attendance and appearance at administrative conciliations.

I believe that above all you have to work with dedication, never give up and treat others with the respect they deserve, always providing a quality service to the client.

Finally, in September 2023, I joined the Employment Law department at Bird & Bird where I want to continue developing my full potential as a lawyer in the branch of law that I have always liked the most, employment law.
