Jenny Murray

I am a partner with over 15 years' experience advising on the full life cycle of major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

I support clients across the renewable energy sector to deliver complex and high-value projects that drive the energy transition. My practice spans project structuring, construction, offtake and power purchase agreements, project finance, and joint ventures. I act for developers, investors, lenders and infrastructure funds, helping them to navigate the evolving commercial and regulatory environment for clean energy.

I bring deep experience in solar, BESS, bio-fuels, district heating and wider low-carbon infrastructure. Having advised on both developments and acquisitions, I understand the full project journey from early-stage structuring through financing, construction and operation. My CFA qualification in ESG Investing enhances my ability to assess project economics and financial modelling, ensuring that commercial strategies align with investor expectations and long-term value creation.

I have a particular interest in how technology is reshaping energy markets, especially in areas such as optimisation, flexibility services and load management, where digital solutions are enabling smarter, more resilient systems. This work naturally complements Bird & Bird's history as a leading adviser in the tech sector. Together, this creates a powerful platform for supporting clients through the energy transition.
