Jang Sae-Pang

I am a Senior Managing Associate in our Intellectual Property Group based in Hong Kong. I have a PhD in Biochemistry and am experienced in both contentious IP, and non-contentious matters such as advising on IPO under Chapter 18A of the Listing Rules.

I was trained at Bird & Bird and qualified in 2012. I am a litigator and enjoy advocacy work. I practised as a barrister in Hong Kong for seven years, focusing on civil and IP cases, before re-joining Bird & Bird. I am experienced in advising pharmaceutical companies on regulatory and compliance issues. On the contentious side, I advised local and foreign companies on IP enforcement, trade mark disputes, passing off disputes and patent disputes. I regularly represented clients before the IP Court of Hong Kong and before Hong Kong Trade Marks Registry.

• I represented Monster Energy Company in a trade mark opposition proceedings against Toronto Raptors, a member team of the NBA, before the Trade Marks Registry.
