Barbora Ružicková

I am an associate in our Banking & Finance group in Prague and I enjoy working on regulatory as well as transactional matters.

My main specialisation is payment services regulation and its latest developments including PSD2, capital markets and loan transactions. For example, I have advised on general questions on the payment services definition in light of the business model of our clients, process of licensing of payment institutions, or more specific questions regarding conditions for surcharging or outsourcing, conditions for issuing bonds, establishing investment companies or onboarding of clients in respect of investment apps as well as questions connected with AML regulation. I am also experienced with loan transactions including project financing, real estate financing, mezzanine financing as well as refinancing and their various combinations.

At Bird & Bird we like to work with innovative and technology led businesses, as a banking and finance lawyer fintech is a natural area of interest for me. Among attending many workshops and conferences relating to fintech I also actively represent Bird & Bird in the Czech Fintech Association.

I have also been involved in numerous matters in the field of corporate, aviation and litigation and arbitration.

I'm fluent in Czech and English and have advanced knowledge of Italian.
