Zuzanna Morawska-Zakroczymska

I am an Associate in the Intellectual Property team in Warsaw.

I have been advising clients since 2017, specialising in contracts, e-commerce, consumer protection, copyrights and data.

My expertise includes offering guidance to online platforms and entrepreneurs in the online retail sector to ensure compliance with legal requirements, encompassing the implementation of the Copyright Directive and Omnibus Directive. I also advise on the launch of online platforms, stores, and mobile applications, as well as review associated documentation and processes, such as user journeys and cancellation procedures.

I support clients in litigation regarding online legal infringements and the liability of Internet platforms for content uploaded by users.

As part of my broader practice, I support clients in effectively managing consumer complaints, including those related to product defects, and represent them before various regulators, such as the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Office, local consumer ombudsmen.

I have a strong interest in the legal aspects of the application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and LegalTech.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I gained professional experience working for leading international law firms, as well as for the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, where I worked on the implementation of the GDPR in Poland.
