Both a lawyer and a patent attorney with a masters degree in chemical engineering, I have a keen interest in how things work and a deep appreciation of not only the legal issues but also the technology underlying our clients' businesses. As a former engineer, I understand the difficulty that many clients have with 'lawyer-speak' and strive to deliver practical, commercially-minded advice.I have acted for international media and technology companies in a range of patent, copyright and trade mark disputes both before the Singapore courts and the Registry. I also regularly advise clients on patent infringement and freedom-to-operate issues, and on multi-jurisdictional trade mark conflict and enforcement issues. I am also experienced in drafting IP licence, R&D collaboration and development agreements.I participate in various committees including with the Singapore Law Society and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association. I am also on the Examination Committee for the Singapore Qualifying Examination for Singapore Patent Attorneys.
