Moritz Neidel

I am a patent specialist, advising our clients on a range of IP matters as a Counsel in our intellectual property team in Hamburg, primarily focusing on patent law.

Advising our German and international clients on the application, defence and enforcement of patents and utility models, as well as in matters concerning their validity, I focus on patent applications and patent oppositions, as well as proceedings concerning the infringement and nullity of patents.

I also analyse patents and utility models and provide opinions on their infringement and validity. My technical expertise ranges from mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, machine tools and automotive engineering to medical devices and materials.

Before working in IP and after my studies of aerospace engineering, I worked as an engineer in aircraft maintenance. During my legal traineeship, I gained experience at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court and the Higher Regional Court in Düsseldorf.

Before joining our firm in 2016, I worked for three years as an associate in a renowned Hamburg patent lawfirm. I am a member in the Association of German Patent Attorneys, FICPI and GRUR.
