Marcin Bartkowiak specialises in German and international public procurement law
Marcin is an Associate in our International Regulatory & Competition Practice Group, based in Dusseldorf and Warsaw.
Advising international clients since 2013, Marcin specialises in public commercial, public procurement and competition law. He advises public authorities and companies, particularly on major infrastructure projects in the telecommunications and IT sectors.
He has extensive experience in assisting clients with federal and State-level public procurement procedures concerning the assembly and operation of software and hardware technology for German security authorities. He also advises on contract design (terms and conditions, EVB-IT etc.) and on international procurement, particularly between Germany and Poland.
Before joining us in 2013, Marcin focused on contract and insurance law at a leading law firm in Regensburg in Germany andalso worked for an Eastern European-oriented commercial law firm during his electoral station in Warsaw.
Between 2005 and 2010 he studied law at the University in Regensburg in Germany and at the Silesian University in Katowice in Poland, focusing on key points of European and international law.
He graduated from the University in Regensburg in 2010, and is currently completing his Ph.D. thesis in international procedural and EU law. Marcin completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgerichts) in Nuremberg.
