I am a Dispute Resolution associate based in Bird & Bird's Dubai office. I advise clients in local and international disputes, under UAE laws and the laws of England and Wales.

I have been involved in a broad range of complex matters, both contentious and non-contentious, including breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, cost claims, commercial disputes, and contract drafting and reviewing.

I have considerable experience in advising on a wide range of international and domestic litigation and arbitration cases, as well as alternative dispute resolution mechanisms across a variety of industry sectors and involving numerous differing issues. We assist clients at all stages of dispute, from inception right through to arbitration or court and then enforcement.

• Advising a major supermarket based in the UK in relation to its claim against MasterCard where it was found that MasterCard has illegally fixed the default multilateral interchange fee between issuing and acquiring banks.
• Defending clients in DIFC proceedings brought against them by the Danish customs and tax administration valued at circa USD 2 billion, concerning tax fraud investigations in the UK, Denmark and Dubai.
• Conducting negotiations and assisting a Public Joint Stock Company in Abu Dhabi in reaching a settlement with one of its service providers in the construction industry.
• Obtaining a successful arbitration award for breach of fiduciary duty and the less commonly awarded remedy of account of profits valued at USD 100,000,000, in respect of a shareholders dispute.
