Kate's experience as a software engineer gives her practical insight into the challenges her clients face
Kate is a senior associate in our Tech & Comms, Commercial and Corporate groups, based in Sydney.
She advises clients on a wide variety of technology, communications and intellectual property law issues. Kate is experienced in negotiating and drafting private sector and government contracts for consulting and technology services and advises on the legal aspects of cloud computing, data protection and emerging technologies.
Kate assists in business and share sale transactions for technology rich companies. Her experience also encompasses licensing and protection of copyright, trademarks and patents and regulation of the media and telecommunications industries.
Before joining us, Kate was a senior software engineer with Nokia Telecommunications in Cambridge, UK and then as a senior software consultant with Rohde and Schwarz in Munich, Germany.
Kate has also practiced at the Arts Law Centre in Sydney where she provided legal assistance to arts organisations and artists, particularly in relation to the protection and commercialization of intellectual property.
