I'm a commercial lawyer and I advise businesses on a broad range of commercial matters, particularly where there is a technology aspect involved.

I draft, review and negotiate all sorts of commercial contracts for clients including contracts for the sale of goods, contracts for the supply of services, reseller agreements, agency agreements, consultancy agreements and outsourcing agreements. I have experience of acting for both the supplier and the customer on contract negotiations so I understand the priorities and risks for both sides.

I have particular knowledge of the technology industry and advise clients on areas such as software licensing and development, IT outsourcing, website development and hosting, cloud computing (including SAAS, IAAS and PAAS) and e-signatures. I really enjoy acting for clients in different industries, such as the Retail & Consumer sector, on their purchases of cutting edge technology. I also have expertise in the e-commerce sector and advise clients on the regulatory environment (such as geo-blocking) and on website terms and conditions.

My 6 month secondment in the commercial team of a leading FTSE 100 insurance company was an excellent opportunity to experience things from a client's perspective and to understand the types of challenges a client faces day to day.

I am an active member of the Society of Computers and Law and sit on their Tech Law Futures Committee.

My special areas of interest include wearable tech and retail tech.
