A doyenne of the hotel legal world, Karen is held in high regard by her clients and peers.

Karen is a partner in our Real Estate Group, based in London. She leads our international hotel, hospitality and leisure group, which sits within the Retail & Consumer sector.

Karen specialises in the acquisition, development and disposal of all types of hotels from budget to luxury and in dealing with other types of property in the wider hospitality and leisure sector. She is also accomplished in the negotiation of hotel management agreements and related documents such as technical services agreements, having successfully concluded a number of high profile London projects in recent years.

Karen is highly regarded in the legal directories as an expert in the hotels/leisure sector and is a regular panellist at conferences such as the International Hotel Investment Forum.

In addition, Karen acts for real estate owners, developers, occupiers, investors and lenders in relation to most types of commercial property, with long standing expertise in the acquisition of corporate headquarters for major corporates and in the development of motorway service areas.

Karen is one of the founder members of Real Estate Balance and the current Chair of its Talent and Development Committee. Real Estate Balance brings together men and women from all areas of the real estate sector with the objective of supporting and promoting women into more senior roles in the sector.

Karen is also one of the founders of the Women in Hospitality Network, which aims to support and provide mentoring opportunities for women hoping to further their careers in the hospitality sector.
