Tobias is a member of our Intellectual Property Law practice group. His work focuses on Patent and Utility Model Law.
In particular, he advises international clients on infringement proceedings before the German courts and assists in invalidity proceedings before the EPO , the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Supreme Court. Many of the cases he handles involve the technical fields of mobile communications and electronics and range from advising on telecommunications, video coding and memory standards over software-implemented inventions to questions of chip architecture. Furthermore, he also has in-depth experience in the pharma sector. A core focus of Tobias’ work involves the coordination of complex multi-jurisdictional patent-related disputes. On top of his practical experience, he has also completed an LL.M. program with a focus on Intellectual Property Law and International Litigation at Griffith University (Brisbane, Australia) and written a dissertation on Private International Law at the University of Düsseldorf.
