About Me

Qualified in Hong Kong and based in Beijing, I am a partner in our China Intellectual Property group, specialising in brand protection strategy and dispute matters in the Greater China region.

With more than 10 years' experience in China, I thoroughly understand the distinctive challenges in doing business here and the wide range of issues involved in brand management and enforcement in the region. I provide pragmatic solutions to clients with clear business objectives and cultural awareness when developing brand protection strategies for clients in different industries. I also understand the IP needs of the local clients and have experience in assisting them with their brand management overseas.

As the General Manager of our Beijing IP Agency, I lead a team of 25 in Beijing and work closely with our association law firm Lawjay in all sorts of IP matters, focusing on trademark portfolio management and litigations, and soft IP-related works such as copyright and domain name disputes, customs recordals and seizures. I also advise on IP aspects of commercial transactions such as negotiating and preparing agreements relating to technology transfer, the grant of intellectual property license and distribution rights.

I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese as well as English, and my expertise with both the Chinese and Western worlds of business enables me to effectively advise clients with local insight.
