Cecilia Chiara Roggero

As an associate in the Dispute Resolution and Commercial teams in Milan, I assist, with passion and dedication, national and international companies on contentious matters and contractual issues relating to civil and commercial law.

With a practice that focuses on civil and commercial law, I provide assistance in court and in extra-judicial proceedings, to companies active in different sectors, including the automotive, telecommunications, sports, gaming and betting, real estate and luxury sectors.

Over the years, I have built, with passion and dedication, solid professional experience on the development of litigation strategies, procedural risks assessment, preparation of procedural documents, and participation in court hearings, for commercial and civil litigation, including both contractual and extra-contractual liability cases.

Also through my in-house experience, I have developed a strong expertise in negotiating, drafting, and implementing a range of national and international commercial contracts, including, among others, distribution and supply contracts, lease, service agreements, and sponsorship contracts, particularly for companies active in the automotive and food sector.

Beyond these specialty areas, I collaborate in advising domestic and international clients in preparing legal opinions on complex legal issues concerning the interpretation of Italian and EU procedures and legislation.

Before joining Bird & Bird in February 2014, I worked for three years in a traditional law firm in Rome, focusing on civil and commercial litigation.

• Advising a foreign sports federation in a high-profile litigation brought by an Italian company with reference to the commercialisation of doping substances.
• Advising a company active in the world of maritime telecommunications in a commercial litigation concerning contractual and competition issues.
• Advising on a day-to-day basis a company active in the automotive sector in a multidisciplinary range of legal issues and in particular in the negotiation of international commercial contracts.
• Advising a company active in the food sector in the negotiation and drafting of several lease agreements for real estate properties.
