Amelia has considerable in house experience, providing assistance as a member of the legal team in the Australian subsidiary of a large international technology company.
Amelia is an associate in our Competition group, based in Sydney.
Amelia regularly assists in advising various clients on a range of competition and consumer law matters, especially those related to advertising and marketing practices. She advises on issues arising under the Australian Consumer Law, including misleading and deceptive conduct and consumer guarantees, and advises on and drafts general commercial agreements, including sponsorship and distribution arrangements. Amelia works extensively for Microsoft Corporation on issues concerning the Microsoft Store and provides in-house legal services as a secondee to Microsoft in Australia, where she executes anti-piracy projects and advises on competition and consumer law matters.
Before joining us, Amelia was a member of the Microsoft Australia in house team, where she assisted on various matters in areas that included anti-piracy, volume licensing, confidentiality agreements and privacy.
