As an associate in Bird & Bird's Commercial Group in London, I advise our UK, Australian and international clients on a range of commercial issues, with a particular interest in the tech and comms, and retail and consumer sectors.

I enjoy working with large and small clients on their commercial technology projects, having experience advising clients on SaaS, services agreements, software licensing, framework agreements, dark fibre and outsourcing agreements.

I have also advised new and incumbent retail customers on the impact and opportunity of technology on their businesses, with a focus on IoT, machine learning and omnichannel retail. Another focus of my work is consumer law, particularly consumer guarantees, advertising law and marketing law. My experience in this area includes advising on consumer regulator investigations as well as presenting on key advertising issues to legal and business audiences.

Having worked extensively both in-house and on secondment at a large multinational tech company, I understand the practical and commercial drivers of client's business from an insider's viewpoint. This enables me to provide workable legal solutions to clients' issues, by communicating with both legal counsel and business clients in a pragmatic and practical way.

I have also been able to take advantage of Bird & Bird's global reach, having worked across the Sydney and London offices. This opportunity has allowed me to advise international clients from a variety of backgrounds, and helped me to develop a flexible and adaptable work style.
