Bird & Bird grows its Finance & Financial Regulation practice in Stockholm with the appointment of Olof Wetterling as partner

Olof is an experienced banking and finance lawyer advising both finance providers and borrowers on a wide range of debt financing transactions including acquisition finance, corporate finance, leveraged finance, trade finance, infrastructure finance, refinancing and restructuring transactions. He specialises in private equity driven finance transactions as well as debt restructurings and real estate financing. Olof joins the firm from MAQS where he was a partner in the banking and finance department. He has previously worked as a managing associate at Linklaters and in-house as the Chief Legal Officer for Danske Bank.

At Bird & Bird, Olof will primarily work on financing opportunities across the Nordic region’s strong private equity and real estate markets and the fast-growing corporate bond market as well as scoping out new opportunities to advise on direct lending deals. His appointment is part of Bird & Bird’s ongoing strategic plan: To build the firm’s Finance & Financial Regulation practice and strengthen its offering across the Nordic region.
