Jonathan Taylor to chair World Anti-Doping Agency's Independent Observer Team at Rio Olympic Games

Co-head of our International Sports Group Jonathan Taylor has been selected to chair the Independent Observer Team of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) at this year's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

WADA will have Independent Observer (IO) Missions to monitor the various phases of doping control and results management processes at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The team led by Jonathan will observe the programmes at the Olympic Games, and provide real-time feedback to the International Olympic Committee and the Local Organisers who will be conducting the anti-doping programmes. This audit-style approach is designed to ensure immediate progress can be made, and will provide athletes and the public further confidence in the anti-doping system.

For more details, please see WADA's press release.
