Bird & Bird has advised Dopay on its $13.5 million Series A Extension round

International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Dopay on its $13.5 million Series A Extension round led by Argentem Creek Partners with participation from existing investors. This funding round tops up a previous $18 million Series A funding round.

Dopay is a rapidly growing fintech company that provides a digital payroll and payments platform, primarily serving unbanked and underbanked workers in emerging markets. Their mission is to transform cash-based economies by digitising payments, providing financial inclusion for millions of workers, and offering a range of new financial services.

Argentem Creek Partners LP, based in New York, is an investment firm specialising in emerging markets. They invest in both private and public assets using various strategies and aim to deliver value for investors, partners, and local communities.

The Bird & Bird team consisted of partner Simon Fielder, senior associate Will Holder and associates Anna Mikhalkovich, Kimberly Tan, and Saoirse McGrath
