I am a partner and head of Tax in Helsinki, advising on domestic and international tax matters in corporate and personal income taxation. In addition, I specialise in advising private equity fund managers and fund investors on legal questions concerning private equity funds.
In the latest edition of the annual International Tax Review directory, Bird & Bird's Finnish tax team was again recognized among the best tax teams in Finland. For the first time, the team was ranked in the top tiers in all categories of the publication.
Our tax team achieved Tier 2 ranking in the categories of Tax Controversy and Transactional Tax and Tier 3 ranking in the categories of General Corporate Taxation and Indirect Taxation.
In addition, Counsel Ville Alahuhta, the Head of Tax in Finland, was recognized as Rising Star in the categories of General Corporate Taxation and Transactional Taxation.
The ITR World Tax publication annually ranks the world's top tax professionals, covering nearly 90 jurisdictions on all continents.
