Immersive Labs raises a $75 million Series C round led by Insight Partners with participation from new investors Citi Ventures and Menlo Ventures, as well as follow on from Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Immersive Labs empowers organisations to measure and improve cybersecurity knowledge, skills and judgement across technical and non-technical teams.
The Series C funding will accelerate the delivery of the new Cyber Workforce Optimization platform. The platform will use data to understand where cyber skills are required and provide role-specific capabilities across the workforce, everything from crisis management with executives and secure software development amongst engineers, to compliance in legal teams. Immersive Labs will also use the funding to expand its international presence, tripling global headcount to 600 over the next two years and establishing operations in new regions throughout APAC and Europe.
Immersive Labs has now received $123m in venture funding and supports customers such as HSBC, Vodafone, and the NHS.
The Bird & Bird team was led by Corporate partner Struan Penwarden and associate William Alms. Further teams working on this transaction include Employee Incentives & Benefits Group partner Colin Kendon and associate Desiree de Lima.
Stuart Goldblatt, CFO, Immersive Labs commented: “We appreciate Bird & Bird’s support on this significant transaction for Immersive Labs. The team’s commercial advice and technical know-how have been a huge benefit.”
Struan Penwarden Bird & Bird said: “We are delighted to have worked alongside the Immersive Labs team. The Series C presented an international transaction with an excellent result for the company. This is a top example of Bird & Bird’s Venture Capital, Tech and Cyber capabilities.”
