IP in Defence & Security Webinar: Current Policies and Hot Topics, Tuesday 28 June

With the ever growing importance of technology and the introduction of long-awaited changes in some the Ministry of Defence’s key IP Defcons, dealing with intellectual property issues remains a critical part of UK defence contracting.

This webinar will provide an overview of the Ministry of Defence’s current IP policy and the key IP Defcons, including in particular a discussion of the newly introduced Defcon 707 (rights in technical data) and the MOD’s approach to the acquisition and licensing of software.

We will also provide guidance on the key IP clauses in the new edition of the Cabinet Office’s Model Services Agreement, which is being widely used across government for security-related technology and IT projects (including in some cases by the Ministry of Defence), as well as covering some other current ‘hot topics’ in IP contracting.

There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.

The webinar will be of interest to anyone working in an organisation currently contracting, or looking to contract, with the UK Ministry of Defence or any other UK government department in relation to defence or security-related projects.
