There are many new regulations being established around the world designed to protect children from online harms. Age assurance plays a key part in this. However, age assurance is a relatively new concept, around which there are not yet common definitions, let alone an agreed approach to measuring the accuracy of the verification and estimation methods that seek to deliver it.
The UK Information Commissioner’s Office recently published research it commissioned from the Age Check Certification Scheme into the Measurement of Age Assurance. This is a complex piece of work, undertaken by a Chartered Statistician.
This in-person workshop is designed to help senior stakeholders within digital regulation understand the research, and provide a forum for regulators, platforms and technology suppliers to discuss its application in the context of emerging international standards.
The event will be taking place live at our London office, we hope to see as many of you there as possible for what should be a thought-provoking and insightful event. For those based outside of London, we will be streaming the event online.
