Bird & Bird Poland warmly invite you to a seminar on English contract law.
English law has become a currency of international business. Companies in many sectors and industries are choosing English law to govern their business-to-business contracting activities, or they are at least influenced by it.
This seminar is designed for non-English in-house lawyers, as well as for experienced contract professionals, from all industry sectors, who will be provided with essential know-how and tools on English contract law. The seminar will focus on business-to-business law rather than business-to-consumer law.
The session will be led by London-based Bird & Bird partner Andrew White, who is an experienced presenter and who delivered an earlier version of this seminar in Warsaw in 2019. He will highlight core concepts, the legal environment, explain jargon and give practical examples.
Topics will include freedom of contract, contracting at a time of uncertainty, fairness, reasonableness and good faith, the court system, governing law, endeavours clauses, contract formation and ‘subject to contract’, exclusion clauses, ‘consequential loss’ and indemnities.
In this short video, Andrew explains why this seminar is relevant to global businesses and Polish legal professionals.
