Employment Hybrid Event: Hybrid Working Arrangements

As the world is coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic and recovery gathers pace, the work place has also undergone fundamental shifts in light of the feasibility of a more flexible workforce. Implementing hybrid working on a more permanent basis is gaining traction and more employers are exploring alternative working models to improve efficiency and offer greater flexibility to employees.

In this session, we will be walking through the different types of hybrid working arrangements and the potential issues and challenges that employers may face when implementing such arrangements. These include:

  • whether employees have a right to request for flexible working;
  • monitoring of employee performance and personal data considerations;
  • maintaining confidentiality of company information and trade secrets;
  • health & safety considerations including stress and mental health issues;
  • immigration and tax considerations; and
  • continued engagement of staff working remotely.

We will also share practical tips on how to navigate these issues and achieve a balance between efficiency and cohesion on one side and maximum flexibility for employees and the business on the other.
