In Part 2 of this series, we will be taking a look at the recently gazetted Discrimination Legislation (Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance 2020 and how employers can ensure that they are compliant with the changes. To provide context for this exploration, we will start with a refresher on Hong Kong's anti-discrimination laws and their application to employers. We will then unpack some of the enhanced workplace protections covered by the legislative amendments, and provide guidance on how to manage the associated risks.
