Webinar: Hong Kong Employment Law Essentials in a Changing World Part 1 - Reduction in Force and Restructuring

We invite you to join us for the first seminar in our Hong Kong Employment Law Essentials in a Changing World series. The series will guide HR and legal professionals through a range of current topical Hong Kong employment law issues.

In the post-pandemic landscape, many businesses have experienced substantial shifts in their operational needs. Organisations may find themselves having to restructure their workforce and to make the difficult decision to implement redundancies. The webinar provides key practical takeaways in navigating the process, covering the nuanced interactions between the statutory framework and the express and implied terms of the employment contract, the importance of retaining employees during the notice period, how to structure a settlement to close off the relationship and managing complex multijurisdictional employment rights.

The webinar will be in the form of a live Q&A Forum. This will be moderated by Pattie Walsh, Head of Bird & Bird's Asia Pacific Employment team and will include a panel consisting of members of our Hong Kong Employment team. Those who participate in this live event will be able to ask questions during the forum via the Chatbox function, but please note places are limited.

CPD point: We have applied to the Law Society for CPD accreditation.

We hope you can join us for this event on 29 September and do please add the other dates to your diary with invitations to be sent a few weeks prior to each event.
