Bird & Bird's UAS Roundtable

Bird & Bird's UAS roundtable programme provides a forum in which those working in the UAS industry can network in an informal environment, explore industry trends, exchange views on matters of common interest, and share ideas, knowledge and best practice. As we continue to stay safe by working remotely, we’d be delighted if you could join us at our next virtual roundtable event where we'll explore a number of themes.

We’ll be joined by Stuart Clarke of BALPA and David Guerin of GATCO to explore UAS applications from the perspective of conventional aviation. The objective will be to discuss some specific risks which may not have been adequately considered as we move to a world in which conventional and unmanned aviation are more integrated.

David Holden of Highlands & Islands Airports will describe the progress of the Sustainable Aviation Test Environment project at Kirkwall and how this will enable technology development. We’ll also address the state of the Air Traffic Management and Unmanned Aircraft Bill and how it deals with issues around personal data and GDPR.This will be accompanied by our usual round-up of regulatory developments in Europe and the US.

We’re planning a slightly shorter event than usual, and look forward to hosting you virtually for what is sure to be a lively and engaging debate. We are of course disappointed not to be able to host you for a drink but trust that we’ll be able to meet again before too much longer.

Webex details will be provided in the confirmation email.
