Sustainable electronic communications: What governance and what next?

The ICT sector plays a two-pronged role when it comes to climate change – both as a polluter and an enabler. Integrating both green and digital issues is becoming a hot topic in the public debate. This meeting will clarify what is meant by sustainability when it comes to electronic communications and will address the existing regulatory and non regulatory initiatives.

Initiatives taken by public authorities and self regulation by private players already play a big role. The event aims to discuss how these initiatives can be coordinated and rationalised, and what should be the role of regulators. The discussion will also approach the priorities on that matter.

The event will contribute to the sharing of experiences between stakeholders and to start building the IIC France community.
