French Supreme Court clarifies judgment disclosure limits

Djazia Tiourtite and Andra-Cristina Tihauan discuss the implications of recent French case law regarding the disclosure of French court judgments. This comes soon after a French company was convicted of infringing a competitor's patent, where the first instance decision contained an order for the judgment's publication in three newspapers. Additionally, draft legislation is currently being finalised, which could have major implications on the right to publicise a judgment, if 'matters pertaining to business law' are placed under restriction.
