In this Q&A we consider the rules relating to service of claim documents within jurisdiction and abroad in Spain. It contains jurisdiction specific information setting out the framework for service of claim documents (in relation to domestic and foreign proceedings) within the jurisdiction, and service of claim documents outside the jurisdiction. Please note that the procedure used to bring the court proceedings to the defendant's attention will be referred to as 'Service' in this Q&A.
