As a senior associate in our Banking & Finance Group in Warsaw, I am an expert in financial sector regulation.

Having advised clients since 2008, today I specialise in advising financial institutions, particularly banks, payments companies, FinTechs, investment firms, loan and leasing companies, on all regulatory matters. In particular, I support financial institutions in introducing new products and services, and analysing and preparing legal opinions on their compliance with the legal requirements.

I also provide legal support with regard to EU financial institutions commencing business activity in Poland, as well as Polish financial institutions operating in other EU countries. Such matters include providing legal advice on the notification procedure before the Polish Financial Services Authority, drafting internal documents, preparing client-related documentation, and supporting business departments in implementing on-boarding procedures.

In addition, I support players in the financial sector in adjusting their activities to meet the changing legal requirements. In particular, I have significant experience in advising banks and other financial companies on the implementation of the PSD2 and MiFID2 regulations, and advising on the Polish PSD2 API project.

I conduct training and give presentations at conferences on the legal aspects of the regulatory requirements, in particular PSD2 and MiFID2. I am a co-author and editor of a legal commentary to the Consumer Credit Act.

I have significant experience in advising financial institutions in dispute resolution before the common courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked at the Economic Division for Bankruptcy and Corporate Recovery at the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, as well as in several Warsaw law firms.
