Marta is an expert in the field of financial sector regulations and dispute resolution regarding banking activity
Marta is a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance Group based in Warsaw.
She has been advising clients since 2008, and specialises in advising financial institutions, particularly banks and loan companies, both in regard to corporate governance, and products and services offered by those companies. She also supports insurance and leasing companies, and prepares legal opinions on the compliance of new business lines implemented by financial institutions in order to meet legal requirements.
Marta supports financial sector players in adjusting their activities to changing legal requirements. In particular, she has been advising banks and other companies in the financial sector on the implementation of PSD2 and MiFID2 regulations. Marta is currently advising on the Polish API project.
She has significant experience in advising financial institutions in dispute resolution before common courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.
Before joining us, Marta worked at the Economic Division for Bankruptcy and Remedy at the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, in several Warsaw law firms, and in a housing co-operative association.
In 2009, Marta graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She is an attorney-at-law at the Circuit Chamber of Legal Counsel in Warsaw.
She works in Polish and English.
