Maria has great knowledge and practical understanding of processes in public sector constructions
Maria is a junior associate in our Danish Competition and EU Group.
She assists clients in connection with the planning of public procurement procedures in accordance with the Danish Act on tenders and the Public Procurement Act. She also assists clients in connection with construction law challenges.
Maria gained experience from working at one of Denmark's largest construction owners, Copenhagen Municipality, where she was a member of the department for public procurement and construction law. While employed there, she gained a great understanding of the internal procedures and political processes at a public contractor as well as experience with project management.
She also assists clients in connection with business lease and private lease agreements.
Maria graduated with a law degree from Aarhus University in October 2014. In her thesis, she analysed the need for a revision of the Danish regulation AB92 based on a comparative analysis of Danish practice for early involvement of the contractor with the relevant regulations in FIDIC, Red Book.
She studied for one semester at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
